About us

Dunmore Preschool was established in 1967 and caters for children aged 2 to 5 years. The children are educated in a purpose-built unit which is owned by the preschool and situated on Fitzharris’ School grounds.

Preschool has a safety surface play area, and a grass area all contained within the preschool site. We will be creating a sensory garden at the end of our site which is enclosed within a picketed fence area.  

The entrance to preschool is accessible from both Austin Place and Farm Road. Please note that there is NO access through Fitzharris School.

 We provide the children with every opportunity to support them in their education and development and prepare them for their futures; from focusing on their next steps to getting other professionals such as occupational therapists and speech therapists involved.
We support our families with advice, tips, help with paperwork, and more. 


Longtime standing in the community

We have been operating as a part of our local community for over 55 years.  In that time we have supportedcountless number of children and their families. 

Support for families

We accept all funding; 3 & 4 year old government funding is given to all children after they turn 3.  We also accept 2 year funding and 30 hour funding; criteria must be met for these two funding options.
This funding supports parents with up to 15 or 30 hours childcare paid by the government

Inclusion for all children

We believe all children should be given the opportunity to be included.  Our staff treat children as individuals and to achieve the full potential we focus on the individual  child's strengths and and support their weaknesses.
Sometimes a child may need additional support such a 1-to-1 support we work with parents to apply for funding to employ a supportive and determined member of staff to help the child fulfill their potential.
